I don’t think I love a celebrity more than I love Taylor Swift.  Say what you want about her music, but this girl has proven time and time again to be an absolute angel.  What other young music sensation takes four and a half hours out of their Saturday to hang out with sick kids in a hospital?

Taylor took some time out of her busy schedule to stop by New York Hospital Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to hang out with some young fans.  She was only scheduled to spend an hour there, but being the absolute sweetheart that she is, Taylor stayed for nearly five hours.

One fan Taylor visited in particular was Shelby Huff, who is suffering from post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease.  Shelby got an entire 20 minutes with Taylor, who skyped with her sister and then took pictures. You can visit Shelby’s Facebook page to see the status update her mom posted.

Look at those two beautiful ladies!

I’d like to personally commend Taylor for being an incredible role model for my generation.  I can’t think of many of my friends who enjoy spending their Saturdays volunteering at children’s hospitals or anything like that.  Taylor may be a worldwide celebrity and is “expected” to give back, but you can tell that she does more than what’s expected.  She took pictures with everyone and was more focused on the families than herself.  I could seriously go on and on talking about the reasons why I look up to her, but I’ll leave it at that! :)

How adorable are Taylor and Shelby?!  That selfie is too cute!
