So many good things on television this week! If your DVR is quickly filling up or you only have a little bit of time to sit down and watch something because you’re writing papers or studying for finals…I’ve got you covered! Check out what I think you should be watching this week.
The Blacklist – “The Pavlovich Brothers” – 10:00 PM – NBC
The saga continues…Liz continues to investigate the truth about her husband, Tom…if that even is his real name! Meanwhile, the rest of the team tries to protect a target of the Pavolvich Brothers who specialize in abductions. Don’t miss this episode!
Glee – “Opening Night” – 8 PM – FOX
The moment we have all been waiting for! Not only is Santana back from her tropical vacay with Britt, but Rachel Berry finally makes her Broadway debut in “Funny Girl!” Schue, Sue, and Tina come to New York to support our favorite star, but judging from the promo, it looks like she’s having a bad case of butterflies! Will Kurt be able to calm her down? Tune in to find out!
Modern Family – “Australia” – 9 PM – ABC
G’day mate! This is going to be a good one. The Dunphy/Pritchett clan takes a visit down under! Phil wants to fulfill his late mother’s wish for him to visit the country where he was conceived (um, TMI). Jay and Claire have trouble leaving their work at home, which I imagine is much to Phil’s dismay. And Mitchell and Cameron run into an old acquaintance (not friend…acquaintance) who is now a celebrity in Australia!
Nashville – “On The Record” – 10 PM – ABC
Not an episode, but a musical special! Watch the cast perform some of the show’s hit songs (Scarlett + Gunnar duet pleaseeee?) and songwriters discuss the writing process. Some faces to look out for: Hayden Panettiere (Juliette Barnes), Charles Esten (Deacon Claybourne), Clare Bowen (Scarlett O’Connor), and Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott).
Parks and Recreation – “Moving Up” – 8 PM – NBC
An hour-long Parks is only fitting for the season 6 finale! Leslie will make a huge decision about her future (should she stay or should she go?) and the much-anticipated Unity Concert is finally here! Tom opens his restaurant (so many business ventures, so little time), Ron runs into Tammy 2, and Andy gets to live out his rockstar dreams!
Bad Teacher – “Pilot” – 9:30 PM – CBS
You might remember the the 2011 movie of the same name with Cameron Diaz in it. Now a TV show, this series stars Ari Graynor as the main character, a divorcée who poses as a teacher ho0ping to land a wealthy husband.
Black Box – “Kiss the Sky” – 10 PM – ABC
I am so excited for this one! Kelly Reilly stars as the famous neuroscientist Catherine Black who is able to connect with her patients in a special way, but also struggles with a mental illness. In the first episode, Catherine deals with pressure from her boyfriend, who wants to take their relationship to the next level.
Hart of Dixie – “A Better Man” – 9 PM – CW
Recently single Zoe finds herself in the middle of Wade and Vivian’s relationship, Lavon and AnnaBeth’s problems start to impact the town of BlueBell, Lemon hopes to raise her health-inspection grade, and George dates a Bible teacher. And there’s a raccoon…? Should be a fun one!
Okay gang, what are your TV plans this week? Will you be tuning in to any of these or turning off? I am stoked for the premieres of Bad Teacher and Black Box, but also super excited to see my favorite modern family in Australia. Let me know what you’ll be watching!
