Apparently, Ryan Murphy has heard and ignored my pleas regarding the next installment of American Horror Story, titled Freak Show.  Very little is known about the show right now, as the AHS team is quite skilled at keeping information under wraps, but a few details have been revealed.  Read more to find out what they have planned so far!

What is known is that it will take place in the 1950s in Jupiter, Florida, and that it is about a freak show run by a German Jessica Lange (Queen of AHS).  It won’t premiere until this fall, so that gives us plenty of time to speculate about what Murphy has up his sleeve.  However, he did confirm that there will be a scary clown character when he was raving about the show to Entertainment Weekly.

It was always a concept that Jessica and I talked about really early on.  It was always her favorite one, which I thought was funny. I’ve had many different versions that I’ve run by her. I just love it. It feels really right. I thought it was going to be light but it’s turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look — if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it’s going to be dark.”

So basically, I’ll have to sleep with the lights on when this premieres.  Killer clowns are not okay with me.

Aside from “the most terrifying clown ever,” Murphy says that there will be a bearded lady–or at least, “our version of it.”

So if you thought they wouldn’t play into the stereotypical freak show characters, guess again!  What other characters do you think we should expect?
