Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July Was Better Than Yours

Sorry, but that’s (probably) a fact.  Swift invited some of her closest (and famous) friends to her Rhode Island home for the holiday weekend. Naturally, they took a ton of beautiful photos and posted them to Instagram which made us all very, very jealous.  Some of her famous friends in attendance?  If you can’t tell who is in the picture, then read on to find out!

Aside from Taylor and her brother Austin (bottom right), a few faces you might recognize are Jaime King (Lemon from Hart of Dixie), Jessica Szohr (Vanessa from Gossip Girl), and of course, Emma Stone and her boyfriend, Andrew Garfield.  Yep, THAT HAPPENED.

Oh yeah, then there was singer Ingrid Michaelson and Girls star Lena Dunham (flipping off the camera, in classic Lena fashion).  Taylor, Emma, Lena.  Three of my favorite people on this planet and none of them cared to follow up on my invite that clearly got lost in the mail.  I guess I’ll forgive them this time.

Despite the nonstop rain that made an appearance at the party, Swift and her guests did not let that deter them from having some summer fun.  They brought out the slip n slide along with some pool floats and let Mother Nature do her thing.

When the sun finally came out, they took advantage of it by soaking up some Vitamin D in colorful swimsuits and floppy hats.  The gang had plenty to eat over the weekend — thanks to resident baker Swift — such as homemade apple pie and an American flag berry cake.

No Fourth of July is complete without sparklers, so needless to say, Swift and her friends saw “sparks fly.”

Looks like Taylor had a nice weekend!  I enjoyed my Fourth of July and I hope you did, too!
