Hello!  Sorry for the lack of words.  I have been without wifi for a while and now I’m not in Nashville anymore and it makes me sad but I come with a news update!

Love it or hate it, the 50 Shades of Grey book-trilogy-turned-movie is a worldwide phenomenon.  That book with a tie on the cover is completely unavoidable.  After much anticipation, the first trailer for the movie was released and the fans are going crazy.  Read more to see the trailer and to find out how Beyoncé fits into all of this!

Well, that is certainly something.

Opening on Valentine’s Day next year, the film stars Dakota Johnson as college girl Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as young entrepreneur Christian Grey.  The book is definitely not everyone’s preference, due to the extreme amount of eroticism the story entails (Grey loves his whips and chains), but it has become a hit for a lot of readers.  Author E.L. James originally wrote it as Twilight fan fiction and a lot of people have strong feelings about that, as well.

Oh, and as for Beyoncé’s part in this?  The trailer music may have sounded familiar because it is Bey’s “Crazy In Love,” but remixed!  Seriously, the 50 Shades advertising team really knows how to make the internet go insane.  When she posted this fifteen second teaser on Instagram, news outlets freaked out (okay, I kind of did, too).

So what are your thoughts?  I’ve never read the book, but I may see the movie just to see if it lives up to the hype.  Are you a fan of the book or do you prefer to stick to fluffier romances?  Do you think Johnson and Dornan are right for the part?  Share your feelings!
