Country singer Dustin Lynch required stitches on Friday night after he was hit in the head by a flying beer can at his concert.
Lynch was performing “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks at Mulletfest in Niceville, Florida, when someone in the crowd threw a full can of beer at him.
“I was walking down the catwalk and just wham, out of nowhere this beer can just nailed me in the face. It was a completely full can and it felt like a baseball had hit me.”
Lynch was unable to see who threw the can, but fans pointed him out and started a small brawl. Unfortunately, the offender got away.
Though blood was streaming down his face, Lynch continued to perform.
We finished the show out like we always do. It was just a little bloodier than usual.”
After his set, he went to an emergency room where he was treated and received stitches.
The moral of the story is don’t throw beer cans, period. It’s not cool. This guy caused an incident that almost ruined a great night. The crowd was insanely loud and supportive and that’s why I wanted to finish my show. I didn’t want to get off the stage until I had to.”
You know what they say, “The show must go on!”
Props to Dustin Lynch for continuing to perform! No props to the tool who threw the beer. Come on!
