Ed Sheeran surprises newlywed couple for their first dance

Go ahead and add Kya and Matt Debono onto the list of couples who have used “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran as their wedding song. But put them in a special category for people who have actually had Sheeran perform it specifically for them.  That list probably isn’t as long.

Taking a cue from his gal pal Taylor Swift, who crashed a fan’s bridal shower, Sheeran crashed a wedding!  Except this was not as spontaneous as it looks.

The stunt was organized by the Australian radio show Kyle & Jackie O.  The radio hosts stopped by the wedding to announce that they had a very special performer.  That was Sheeran’s cue to walk in, which left the couple in complete shock.

Check out the video from the wedding!

After the performance, Kya told Sheeran, “You’re amazing, thank you!” to which he replied, “Have a good day.  Make lots of babies tonight!”  Oh, Ed.

Later, Sheeran posted a picture with the couple on his Instagram with the caption,

Just surprised this lovely couples first dance.  Available for weddings, birthdays and bar mitzvah’s, contact your local super market for details.”

How cute is Ed?!  And how perfect is that song for a wedding?  I’m totally single, but is it too soon to book Ed for my wedding?

  1. Heya just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t
loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking
issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers
and both show the same outcome.

    • Hmm, that’s weird! It’s working fine for me on Google Chrome, but I’ll keep an eye out for anything funky. Thank you for the heads up!
